I have worked on integrating environmental issues into the national income accounts since the early 1980s. My work has included development of data for US and European accounts while a junior employee of Resources for the Future, coordination of a global program on environmental accounting for IUCN, and consulting assignments related to the development of environmental accounts in Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Egypt. I am the author of a recently-published book introducing the design of the 2003 System of Integrated Economic and Environmental Accounting to a non-technical audience, as well as various other papers on environmental accounting.
